Scope and Responsibility

We are, by our DNA and nature of our leadership, an analytically minded organization and look to add a highly skilled analytical leader to help us turbocharge our analytical capabilities and thinking.  The Director of Analytics will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer to support the overall development and growth of Integra, playing a key role in our growth and driving our scalability. This role will provide strategic leadership for the development, validation and delivery of algorithms, statistical models and reporting tools. In the short term, we see this role having key responsibilities with our Claims/Revenue Cycle Management team with a focus on delivering insights for how the team can drive operational and financial goodness.  Over the longer term, the successful candidate will build and lead a Data and Analytics team that plays a pivotal role in highly complex projects involving multiple resources and tasks., interfacing across the organization to answer challenging analytical questions related to Integra’s performance. The person occupying this position will have an exceptionally broad view of every aspect of Integra’s business and help drive the insights that allow leadership to make informed, thoughtful business decisions.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Detailed knowledge of health care claim fee schedules as well as rules and regulations
  • Provide analytical support for business operations in the following areas: call center, claim denials and rejections, provider data, pricing, utilization management and trends and other operational metrics
  • Partner with Operations to translate data into analyses and insights that operational leaders can use to make business decisions
  • Responsible for data analytics and the generation of reports claim trends, provider and payor behavior, for use in monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and reporting
  • Review data to determine operational impacts and needed actions based on elevated issues, trends, and areas of     growth and improvement opportunities
  • Direct the development and execution of analytics to provide information and tools for strategic decision making and planning
  • Provide direct skills and lead analysts in developing and preparing a consistent set of operational reports for leadership that reflect established standards and metrics
  • Review and suggest improvements to current or planned systems and processes based on previous healthcare knowledge and experience
  • Extract, model, and reconcile large amounts of data across multiple system platforms and sources
  • Capture, process, analyze, and share data that has been pulled from multiple platforms
  • Perform data extraction, aggregation, and quality checks from multiple sources and tables in support of trend identification and root cause analysis
  • Provide expertise on how to properly store, analyze, and interpret data
  • Familiarity with data extraction and visualization tools, SQL, SAS, R, Tableau and/or other data warehouse analytical tools

 
Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, computer science, health-related field or equivalent experience
  • Leadership experience supervising data-related professional staff
  • 5+ years related experience in data warehousing and analytics as well as integration of applications
  • 5+ years of team management experience
  • Strong analytical background in statistics and mathematical optimization, forecasting and simulation and fraud detection
  • Ability to interact with business leadership and make dynamic presentations from within and outside the company
  • Effectively communicate and share data findings
  • Ability to develop and maintain a strong, highly functioning team
